Murex Back Office BA

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and manage business requirements into a solution design, managing user requirements workshops and formulation of an overall solution design, modelling transactions through the system to ensure that the business requirements are met.
  • Hands-on business analysis role to analyse and propose solutions for business issues, process changes and functional requirements.
  • Understanding of Accounting Standards, GAAP and IFRS requirements
  • Capturing, specifying and documenting business requirements for implementation for the Accounting stream
  • Work with different IT teams across infrastructure, and other divisions to deliver system solutions for the business.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on their priorities, needs as well as system improvements.
  • Build a strong relationship and manage expectations with users and stake holders.
  • Building test cases and test scenarios
  • Perform system testing
  • Coordinate and validate Accounting stream testing and test cases during UATs

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience working in the financial industry on treasury products with relevant experience in business analysis and project implementation
  • Experience in managing and delivery of trading platforms for Treasury products on a global scale, integrated within the organizations treasury product systems.
  • Strong understanding of any of the treasury products and it’s accounting expectation like FX Derivatives, IR Derivatives, FX Cash , Fixed Income and Money market
  • Basic Knowledge of trade life cycle, and events impact on accounting
  • Understanding on accounting flow and group level consolidation
  • Reconciliation between systems
  • Effective team player with excellent communication & inter-personal skills.
  • Strong problem solver who can question and understand proposed solutions and business drivers
  • Proven stakeholder management skills in interactions with stakeholders across functions and seniority levels

Mandatory Skills

  • Experience working in Murex system
  • Understanding of front to back process flow
  • Understanding on Key areas: Accounting configurations and controls, Accounting TB and Journal of entries recon, Liquidation process, Position and Contributor Accounting, Hedge Accounting
  • Accounting issues debugging and knowledge of basic accounting table structure
  • EOD process, EOD scripts creations and debugging

Technical Skills

  • MS Excel and MS Word
  • SQL
