Job Objectives Our Client in singapore is starting a major project to upgrade its version of Murex to the latest version available. To support this project, the bank is looking for consultants to help manage and support dev and test environments, maintain and deploy the configuration across multiple instances and support the Go Live activities. The job also consists in automating manual tasks and integrating Murex platform to existing CI/CD frameworks and processes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provision new Murex test environments as requested by project teams by following the official bank’s process and tooling
  • Support technical issues related to Murex Environments across SIT and UAT regions
  • Inject Murex configuration into test environments before UAT testing
  • Support projects Go Lives and Mock Runs during weekends (rota basis)
  • Prepare production releases by using UOB’s devops pipeline and process
Key Requirements
  • At least 6-10 years of Murex application dev/support/config management experience
  • Good knowledge of SQL, shell/Python scripts and Unix/Linux OS

  • Knowledge of J2EE and use of Oracle SQL

  • Experience in performing root cause analysis of production problems and provide quick service recovery if required
  • Essential to have a can do attitude to work under multi-tasking environment
  • Working knowledge of cloud-based technologies, or Data analytics is preferred
  • Good communication skills

  • To work with all levels of the organization to understand, support and deliver strategic imperatives from senior leaders / executives to meet set business objectives and goals
  • Able to perform deep dives to define and propose solutions with established scope, high level cost and benefit analysis for key business initiatives
  • Able to identify new business features through technology, digital platforms, eco-systems partnerships to develop solutions to meet business needs and gain competitive advantage against peer banks/ leading in industry.
  • Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, and provide compelling and innovative solutions
  • Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest process and technology to automate and modernize systems
  • Where required, to conduct/Facilitate Proof of Concept (POC) to validate proposed solutions to manage downside risks and encourage fast adoption

Qualifications / Skillsets required

  • 10 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years’ experience in delivering or supporting Corporate Loan Origination Systems
  • Strong product and business analysis experience in domains such as retail banking, wealth management, corporate banking, treasury, and regulatory & compliance, with Technology know-how preferred
  • Keep abreast on updates in Fintech, emerging technology and market trends
  • Holder of CFA, or FRM or CAIA will be advantageous
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assimilate information quickly and gain consensus from multiple stakeholders when required
  • Strong ownership and accountability
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skillset, comfortable in managing senior stakeholders.
  • Customer service focused, resourceful and result oriented and good follow through
  • Able to lead, manage or influence others to achieve desired objectives &/or deliverables
  • Able to provide creative or alternative solutions to address business problems and achieve desired outcome
  • Strong team player with the ability to take ownership and deliver independently
  •  Able to work under pressure with tight deadlines and/or multiple projects
